Step 1: Tools Required
Fiberglass Sleeve
Fireproof Sleeve
Silicone Fireproof Tape
Electrical Tape
Scissors
Hose Assembly
Step 2: Assemble the fiberglass high-temperature sleeve
Slide the fiberglass high-temperature sleeve sleeve onto one end of the hose assembly and slide it along the length of the hose until one end of the high-temperature sleeve reaches the other end of the hose. Slip it over the hose end.
Step 3: Cut the fiberglass high temperature sleeve
Once the hose is completely covered with the fiberglass high temperature sleeve, tape the high temperature sleeve tightly and cut at the tape.
Step 4:
Cut the fireproof sleeve to the required length. Slide the end of the fireproof sleeve onto the tape end of the installed fiberglass high temperature sleeve. The fireproof sleeve should not be too tight, please use a fireproof sleeve with a larger inner diameter. Otherwise, it will cause installation difficulties and may affect the insulation performance.
Step 5: Trim the fiberglass high-temperature sleeve to the required length
Once the fire-resistant sleeve is installed, use scissors to cut the fiberglass high-temperature sleeve along the top end of the fire-resistant sleeve. If the protected hose is a rubber hose, please use scissors carefully.
Step 6: Complete the seal at both ends with silicone fire tape
Cut the silicone fire tape to a certain length and remove the film liner. Stretch the tape and overlap it by 50% to wrap it. Wrap the tape through the sleeve end and onto the hose connector, then squeeze the tape to seal.
